DSP Playback Policy

Authoritative rules explaining how StrmFarm integrates with supported Digital Streaming Providers (DSPs) and user obligations.

1. Purpose

This DSP Playback Policy explains how StrmFarm integrates with supported Digital Streaming Providers (“DSPs”), the requirements for using playback-related features, and the responsibilities of users when accessing music through third-party services.

This Policy forms part of the StrmFarm Terms of Service and should be read together with our Privacy Policy, Verification Framework, Fraud Policy, and other applicable platform policies.

2. What Is a DSP?

A Digital Streaming Provider (“DSP”) is a third-party music streaming service that delivers licensed music content to its subscribers.

Examples of supported DSPs may include:

  • Spotify
  • Apple Music
  • YouTube Music
  • Deezer
  • Other providers supported by StrmFarm from time to time.

Supported providers may change without prior notice.

3. StrmFarm Is Not a Music Streaming Service

StrmFarm is a music discovery and engagement platform.

StrmFarm does not:

  • Operate a music subscription service.
  • Replace a DSP subscription.
  • Own music catalogs.
  • License music directly to users.
  • Control the availability of music on third-party platforms.

All playback occurs through supported third-party DSPs under their respective terms, licenses, and agreements.

4. Supported DSP Connections

Certain features require users to connect an eligible DSP account.

Available integrations may vary by:

  • Country or region
  • Device
  • Operating system
  • DSP availability
  • Platform support
  • Technical limitations

StrmFarm may add, suspend, or remove supported DSP integrations at any time.

5. Premium Subscription Requirement

Verified playback features require an active Premium subscription with the applicable supported DSP.

Without an eligible Premium subscription, certain playback, verification, campaign participation, or rewards-related features may be unavailable.

Premium subscription requirements are determined by the supported DSP and may change independently of StrmFarm.

6. Connecting Your DSP Account

To use eligible playback features, users may be required to:

  • Connect a supported DSP account.
  • Authorize StrmFarm to access permitted playback information.
  • Maintain an active connection.
  • Reconnect their account if authorization expires or is revoked.

Users may disconnect supported DSP accounts at any time through their account settings or through the applicable DSP, subject to any resulting feature limitations.

7. Playback Availability

Playback depends on numerous factors outside StrmFarm’s control, including:

  • DSP availability.
  • Regional licensing restrictions.
  • Rights holder decisions.
  • Network connectivity.
  • Device compatibility.
  • Subscription status.
  • Temporary service interruptions.

StrmFarm does not guarantee that any particular track, album, artist, or catalog will remain available.

8. Music Rights & Ownership

All music available through connected DSPs remains the property of its respective copyright owners, licensors, publishers, labels, artists, and other rights holders.

Nothing in the Services transfers ownership of any music, recordings, compositions, artwork, metadata, trademarks, or other intellectual property.

9. Playback Verification

Playback occurring through supported DSPs may be evaluated by StrmFarm’s verification systems to determine eligibility for certain platform features, including campaign participation and the STRM Points Program.

Verification does not occur solely because playback begins.

Playback must satisfy applicable platform requirements before it may qualify for verification.

For additional information, please refer to the Verification Framework.

10. Playback Restrictions

Users must not:

  • Attempt to bypass DSP subscription requirements.
  • Manipulate playback using automation, bots, scripts, or unauthorized software.
  • Circumvent regional licensing restrictions.
  • Interfere with playback verification systems.
  • Use unsupported playback methods to obtain platform benefits.
  • Attempt to simulate legitimate listening activity.

Such activity may result in verification failure, removal from programs, account restrictions, or permanent suspension.

11. Third-Party Services

DSPs operate independently from StrmFarm.

StrmFarm is not responsible for:

  • Subscription pricing.
  • Billing.
  • Account suspension by a DSP.
  • Music catalog changes.
  • Playback interruptions.
  • Licensing disputes.
  • Service outages.
  • Technical failures originating from third-party providers.

Questions regarding a DSP account should be directed to the applicable provider.

12. Regional Availability

Certain playback features may not be available in every country or territory.

Availability depends on:

  • Local laws.
  • Licensing agreements.
  • DSP availability.
  • Technical infrastructure.
  • Platform rollout schedules.

StrmFarm may limit or disable playback features where required.

13. Future Integrations

StrmFarm may introduce additional DSP integrations, playback technologies, or music services in future platform releases.

The availability of future integrations is not guaranteed.

14. Changes to This Policy

StrmFarm may update this DSP Playback Policy from time to time to reflect changes in supported providers, platform functionality, legal requirements, licensing arrangements, or operational practices.

Material changes may be communicated through the Services or other official communication channels.

Your continued use of playback features after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.

In the event of any conflict, the Terms of Service will govern unless otherwise required by applicable law.
