Community Guidelines
Standards of conduct expected from listeners, artists, playlist curators, record labels, and community members.
1. Purpose
StrmFarm exists to help listeners discover music, empower artists to reach authentic audiences, and create a trusted ecosystem where music discovery is driven by genuine engagement rather than artificial manipulation.
These Community Guidelines establish the standards of conduct expected from everyone using the Services. They are designed to protect listeners, artists, rights holders, partners, and the long-term integrity of the platform.
These Guidelines apply to all users of StrmFarm, including listeners, artists, playlist curators, promoters, record labels, music journalists, and any other individual or organization using the Services.
These Guidelines work together with our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Verification Framework, Fraud & Platform Integrity Policy, Copyright Policy, DSP Playback Policy, and other applicable platform policies.
2. Our Community Values
Everything built on StrmFarm is guided by the following principles:
- Authenticity: We believe music deserves authentic discovery. Every recommendation, campaign, and verified interaction should reflect genuine listener engagement rather than manipulation.
- Fairness: Every participant should have an equal opportunity to succeed through legitimate participation. No user should gain an unfair advantage through abuse, automation, deception, or fraudulent activity.
- Respect: Healthy communities are built through respectful communication. We encourage constructive conversations, appreciation for creativity, and respectful disagreement without harassment or abuse.
- Artist Empowerment: Artists remain the owners of their creative work. StrmFarm exists to help artists build meaningful relationships with real listeners while protecting them from fraudulent engagement.
- Transparency: We strive to clearly explain how the platform operates while protecting the confidential systems that maintain verification, security, and platform integrity.
- Safety: We are committed to providing a secure environment where users can discover music, participate in campaigns, and interact with confidence.
3. Respectful Behavior
Every member of the StrmFarm community is expected to interact respectfully with others.
Users should:
- Treat others with courtesy and professionalism.
- Respect different musical tastes and opinions.
- Participate in discussions constructively.
- Report problems instead of escalating conflicts.
- Help maintain a welcoming environment.
The following behavior is prohibited:
- Harassment, bullying, or threats
- Hate speech or discrimination
- Personal attacks or intimidation
- Encouraging abuse toward others
- Doxxing or sharing another person’s private information without permission
Comments and other interactive features may be moderated using automated systems, community reports, and human review where appropriate.
4. Authentic Participation
Authentic engagement is the foundation of StrmFarm.
Users are expected to participate honestly when listening to music, interacting with artists, joining campaigns, and using platform features.
Examples of authentic participation include:
- Listening to music for genuine enjoyment.
- Discovering new artists.
- Supporting campaigns honestly.
- Sharing playlists organically.
- Providing truthful feedback.
Activities designed primarily to manipulate platform systems or artificially increase rewards are prohibited.
5. Prohibited Conduct
The following activities are prohibited and may result in enforcement action:
Fraud and Manipulation
- Artificial streaming & stream farming
- Automated listening & bot activity
- Reward manipulation & campaign abuse
- Verification circumvention & coordinated fraudulent activity
Platform Abuse
- Creating accounts for abusive purposes
- Attempting to bypass platform restrictions
- Reverse engineering security systems
- Exploiting software vulnerabilities
- Interfering with platform operations
Spam
- Unsolicited promotional content & repetitive posting
- Automated messaging & fake engagement
- Excessive self-promotion
6. Artist & Creator Respect
Artists are at the heart of the StrmFarm ecosystem. Users should respect artists, their music, intellectual property, creative work, and communities.
Users may not:
- Misrepresent themselves as an artist.
- Fraudulently claim ownership of an artist profile.
- Submit false documentation during artist verification.
- Mislead others regarding affiliations with artists, labels, or rights holders.
Verified badges indicate that StrmFarm has verified ownership or authorized representation of an artist profile. They do not represent endorsements by StrmFarm.
7. Harassment, Hate & Abuse
StrmFarm has zero tolerance for behavior that creates an unsafe environment. Prohibited behavior includes:
- Targeted harassment & hate speech
- Threats of violence & sexual harassment
- Stalking & encouraging self-harm
- Abuse based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, disability, age, gender, sexual orientation, or other protected characteristics
Violations may result in immediate account restrictions or permanent removal.
8. Spam & Manipulation
To preserve platform quality, users may not artificially manipulate engagement, including:
- Coordinated streaming groups designed to game verification.
- Purchasing fake listeners or selling fake engagement.
- Artificial campaign inflation.
- Creating multiple accounts to gain unfair advantages.
- Using automation to interact with the platform.
- Sharing or selling accounts.
9. Identity, Misrepresentation & False Information
Users may choose display names that reflect their identity or personal preference, provided they do not intentionally impersonate another person, artist, organization, public figure, or rights holder.
Users may not falsely claim partnerships, endorsements, or submit false verification documents. Fraudulent identity claims may result in permanent account termination.
10. Reporting Violations
Community members are encouraged to report behavior that violates these Guidelines in good faith. Knowingly submitting false or malicious reports may itself violate these Guidelines.
11. Enforcement Actions
When violations occur, StrmFarm may take enforcement actions ranging from educational warnings and feature restrictions to campaign removal, reward disqualification, artist verification revocation, and permanent account termination.
12. Appeals
Users who believe an enforcement action was applied incorrectly may submit an appeal through StrmFarm Support. Certain decisions involving severe fraud or security threats may not be eligible for appeal.
13. Updates to These Guidelines
StrmFarm may update these Community Guidelines periodically. Continued use of the Services after updated Guidelines become effective constitutes acceptance.
