Why wasn't my stream verified?

Understanding stream completion requirements, active DSP connection, and verification criteria.

Overview

StrmFarm evaluates listening activity to reward authentic music discovery and maintain a fair experience for listeners and artists. If a stream was not marked as verified, check the common reasons below.

Common Reasons

1. Playback Interrupted or Skipped: The track was skipped before reaching sufficient completion, or playback was paused before completing the listening session.

2. DSP Account Disconnected: The connected streaming service lost its connection or was actively playing on another device.

3. Supported Account Requirements: Playing via certain DSPs (such as Spotify) requires an active Premium subscription to support programmatic playback control.

4. Daily Participation Limit: Your account has reached the daily limit for verified engagement rewards.

5. Platform Integrity Evaluation: Activity flagged by automated security checks (such as rapid repeated looping, muting, or non-interactive behavior) is excluded from verification.

How to Troubleshoot

  • Ensure your DSP account is properly linked in Settings > Connected DSPs.
  • Listen normally without rapidly skipping or muting tracks.
  • Check our Verification Framework for high-level platform policies.

> Note on Platform Security: For security and anti-abuse reasons, StrmFarm does not publish specific detection signals, mathematical thresholds, or internal verification algorithms.
